ABOUT ME

I love to travel to exotic places and take photos of anything that catches my eye.

Moments happen all the time and it can happen fast. Photography freezes them.

Photos tell us stories, it can be happy, sad or entertaining. When I watched the chicks emperor penguins in Antarctica sitting in the snow, entertaining me, it made me so happy.

I could have sat there all day just watching them. I was also in awe, looking around the blue icebergs surrounding me. It was a beauty that I will never forget.

Photographing other people can also be an ice breaker. When I volunteered in Romania in an orphanage there, I was able to go out in the village to take photos. The people just stared at us, volunteers. I started taking pictures, with their permission of course, and then they started smiling at us. So I promised them that I would send their pictures when I get back to the US.

Photography can be healing and therapeutic. I get immersed when I am out there in the field shooting. It can get you through the hardest times in your life. I am talking from experience.

Photography is also a great challenge to me, always learning something new, have new directions to explore and new challenges to face. It also forces me to get in shape to be able to carry my camera equipment wherever I go. I am not young anymore... (miss those younger years).

I see beauty all around me when I am out there in the field. Some things that I never paid attention before, now I am noticing it.
